Jal Brahmi, or bacopa monnieri is harvested during the full moon day or night. It is wild-crafted, harvested, dried, and stored in very specific manners that allow this herb to provide its full benefit.
According to ancient text in the Bhava Prakash, bacopa is used to strengthen the mind, memory, and learning. It can balance the heart, improve skin conditions, and is used for insanity-related issues. It increases low digestive fire while removing toxins, and is often used for blood diseases, high fever from high pitta, chronic cough, and constipation.
Bacopa is often used with gotu kola. Bacopa has a cooling, nurturing intelligence while gotu kola has a warming, transforming intelligence. Used together to comprise Brahmi, they have almost all of the properties of the now fully extinct Brahmi plant.

Directions:
